It use to be great but now since they are trying to reinvent the wheel, it is more segregated.

Pros

The only thing I can think of is the satisfaction of fixing an Aircraft. It is not the flying since it is extremely difficult to go anywhere these days

Cons

No respect from management or other workers i.e. flight crews. It use to be different, I don't know where it went wrong. Working Holidays and Weekends.

Advice to Management

Listen to your employees we have been in the trenches for a long time, and show respect.

    Pros

If you schedule your trips carefully, you can fly, as an employee, to any global destination for free. You may be lucky enough to be upgraded to first class. This benefit includes your spouse and direct family. If you are successful in your position, there are opportunities for upward movement. It's all about customer service and satisfaction.

    Cons

When attempting to fly during your work and/or leisure times, you may be put on standby, or be bumped depending on the number of passengers. The airline business is tough in this economy. Cost cutting has led to downsizing. Since the bankruptcy announcement, AA is terminating employees from the top down and about to lay-off 13,000 hourly workers.

    Advice to Management

Settle the contracts, but be firm. Other than pilots, there are no real technical jobs and there are a huge amount of qualified unemployed people that would jump at doing these jobs.
