I have been working at American Airlines full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Traveling the world with crazy, fun and truly wonderful people. I had lots of time off and worked when I wanted, most of the time.

    Cons

Being away from my family for important events some of the time. Unhealthy hours and stress on your mind and body. Terrorism. Company imposed work rules that rob us of all the reasons that we took the job in the first place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Corporate greed may bring this airline down. There are two ways to manage, one is with an iron fist seeing employees as #'s and an expense. One way is to consider them as human beings, and assets. Guess which one this airline chose from day one? I have been with this airline for 22yrs and it's management has always had the Motto " Divide and conquer" because if we had ever united all work groups. they would surely lose.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
