Not Proud to be AA employee anymore

Senior Analyst (Current Employee) Fort Worth, TX

ProsI can't think of any Pro's now, other than the travel benefits.

ConsPoor management with the 'good ol' boy' system in place. Terrible moral due to the bankrupcy, no salary increases for lower management (level 1-4) in two years, no job security, reluctant to provide communication on bankrupcy issues. Basic benefits slashed. Vacations and holidays reduced. Only advancements is all who you know.

Advice to Senior ManagementBring the non-union salaries up to par and share information about bankrupcy, mergers and contracts before releasing to the media.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Misleading Internship

Airline Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) Fort Myers, FL

I worked at American Airlines as an intern for less than a year

Pros: Great customer relations experience, amazing internship coordinator, very good training… Cons: Wasn't trained in many areas like promised and was forced to quit at "end of internship." In the interview I was told that I wouldn't… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More

I have been working at American Airlines full-time for more than a year

Pros: Travel Benefits if you can use them Depending on your manager… Cons: Can't use any earned vacation or sick days until the following year. Very Political Gets in their own way to making necessary changes Poor employee training Too much weight… Advice to Senior Management: Get rid of those that are stuck in the old ways and replace them with new skilled itelligent collaborative thinkers. Get rid of the that's… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
