I worked at American Airlines as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Work with good people. It is a challenging atmosphere with new things happening often. Because of the workload you are never bored.

    Cons

In many cases Management seems to be more focused on basing promotion opportunities more on politics and who you know than your performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote more based on performance and attitude vs politics. Salaries are below average for the industry. Consider that issue plus the merger's impact on morale and I think you will see why turnover is so high.

    No opinion of CEO
