I have been working at American Cancer Society full-time (more than an year)

Pros

No extra work to take home.

Cons

Not enough pay and constant change to what we have to say/do on the phones. Very hard to advance. Its hard to market yourself to other branches of the company because management does not know what you do.

I worked at American Cancer Society full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits, loved the volunteers

    Cons

Poor leadership and upper management, they ignore Ethics Complaints even though employees are at times required to make them

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to Ethics Complaints, especially repeated ones about the same manger. Allow on-site managers to make more decisions without intrusion from above. Practice what you preach about treating people well. Don't promote based on tenure with company, promote managers based on management ability.
