I have been working at American Cancer Society full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Coworkers are kind and mission driven. Staff are all working towards helping patients. The time off is very generous compared to most companies.

    Cons

Salary is very difficult to live off with the cost of living in Austin . Not a lot of room for advancement.

    Resource/Outreach Focused Career

I have been working at American Cancer Society

    Pros

American Cancer Society is very focused on promoting their services/mission.

    Cons

With regards to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, fundraising seemed to be secondary to the number of participants. This was seen as "getting their name/services out there" rather than raising funds for the cause.
