Once a premier KC employer is still solid, but benefits and opportunity are now focused on a smaller portion of staff

Vice President (Current Employee) Kansas City, MO

ProsBetter culture than most employers
Clear corporate strategy
Generally bright, professional staff
Excellent benefits

ConsAn inconsistency in the culture has developed in recent years. Some departments remain true to the Guiding Principles, other areas have not. A once consistent, influential HR department no longer has the staff required to assist and guide leadership in the execution of a consistent culture. As a result, an employee may experience anything from a remarkable to a less than optimal working environement.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe new emphasis on meritocracy is appropriate, but execution has fallen short. HR staff must be adequate to ensure leadership's execution is kept in check.
