I worked at American Chemical Society full-time

    Pros

Many hard workers and nice people there, decent internal training if you wish to take advantage

    Cons

Can be demanding especially for a non-profit, some departments struggle with work/life balance

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Cultivate the next generation of employees by mentoring them. There are definitely stand-out employees there but I think they get lost in the shuffle.

I have been working at American Chemical Society

    Pros

Benefits are great and salary compensation is fair. There is a large cultural divide across the different divisions so it largely depends on exactly where you work.

    Cons

Sometimes the publications division is too focused on money to the detriment of employee relations.
