I have been working at American Eagle Outfitters full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Pay is good, if you push for a high salary. The pay for some positions ranges greatly.

    Cons

Policy is all over the place, things are always changing. The discount is good, but the policy is very confusing. People in the company get fired for violating policies that are unclear.

I have been working at American Eagle Outfitters part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

American Eagle sells clothes that truly are worth the price as they are marked. The atmosphere of the company is positive, and it is such an enjoyable and easy place to work. And the discounts are awesome!

    Cons

A big downside is how they really work payroll. The store is given "X" amount of hours to distribute for the week to employees based on the sales of the store. And say it was a bad day for sales in the middle of the week and it was raining, your store won't get as many hours to use for the weekend because of that one bad day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Schedules should be posted using an online system where employees have the ability to switch their shifts with others and also post their availability to ensure no scheduling errors.
