Pros

Smart people; leave no stone unturned in analyzing the optimal way forward

Cons

Politics, bureaucracy; analysis paralysis, not nearly as good at executing as strategizing. Spend too much money and too much time...things that most companies do not value in your approach to work.

    Pros

Great benefits, competitive salary, global, lots of opportunities lateral career moves, leadership team is highly visible, and company vision and goals are shared often and the top leaders of the company walks the talk

    Cons

Sometimes, working for a company so large is not the best when it comes to career advancements. There is an unspoken culture of promoting tenured employees, not because their performance may warrant the promotion, but that they've "earned" it.

    Advice to Management

Overall, there is a culture of leaders mentoring their subordinates, however, that is not the case across the board, as some leaders only care about themselves. They only pretend that they care because they have to put on that front.

    Pros

Strong Name. Work here, get it on your resume and run! Young people already know this. This is why the entry level churn is so high.

    Cons

The Senior Leaders spend all of their time managing up and have little interest in being effective. All of my time was spent "telling my leader what I did so she could sell it up at a higher level meeting and look good- taking all the credit when things went well and blaming others when it did not.

    Advice to Management

Leave the Exec floor and talk to your front line people. You are losing good talent. It is this reason you are dropping quickly in being known as a great place to work.
