Pros

Good company to work your way up in. You can start as office manager/marketing specialist and if you want, someday be an agent! If you happen to find an agent that is fun to work for and does not micro-manage their team, then you are set! Our office is fun to work at and our staff looks forward to coming to work everyday, that is the how a work environment should be. The starting pay is not bad either, but that all depends on your hiring agent too.

Cons

Weekly e-forms to fill out, and like any other job, lots of paperwork!

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be a little more flexible with the agents!

    Pros

Co-workers are nice. Free covered parking is available.

    Cons

Very bureaucratic! It's difficult to get things done there.

Too many people have been hired who are not qualified - they don't have college degrees and don't act as they are in a team-work environment. Management lets people get away with a lot of unprofessional behavior.

We are told to cut costs and can't get our garbage picked up each night at our desks, while the executives have their private airplanes and automobiles.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Talk and listen to your employees and not to consulting companies!

Nice flexibility in scheduling if you can stand the insanity.

    Pros

The benefits package is decent. Salary appears to be in line with other similar positions. The biggest plus is the amount of paid time off. There are ample sick days, vacation, personal days and flex scheduling is offered for some, meaning you work 5 days one week and 4 the next within a pay period. The work day is 7 hours 40 minutes as opposed to a full 8 hour day. For all the faults of upper management, there is a fair amount of loyalty to the employees, which would allow you to complete a long term career there if desired.

    Cons

The same loyalty shown to employees leads to less than competant management remaining in place at all levels but mainly mid to lower level. There is an unreasonable amount of work given to employees with no guidance or suggestion on how to properly complete the work. Opinions and suggestions of employees are not valued and methods to bring about real change and improvement are not pursued. The aforementioned 7 hour and 40 minute work day can not held to if you have any intentions of staying caught up on your work. Staffing levels are so low that it makes scheduling time off difficult. Sub-standard employees are a problem to the general workforce but never properly addressed by management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the employees and give thoughtful consideration to suggestions for improvement. Streamline the operation to reduce or eliminate areas that do not contribute to the success of the company and direct those resources to other vital areas.
