Good company to work for. Has good opportunities for advancement, good benefits, good pay, and a very structured work environment.
Cons
Great place to work. Even in the current state of the economy the company has been able to stay profitable

I agree with the previous comment...
How can someone say the company has managed to stay profitable?
Clearly this is not correct. AIG finally became profitable again on their last quarterly results; every sector of the business did "ok".... except, of course, the financial services sector known as...American General!
Closing branches in serveral states and many layoffs does not exactly portray a profitable company
