    Pros

All around great working environment. The people for the most part enjoy their work and are very welcoming. I would recommend working here.

    Cons

Some departments are more over worked than others.

    Advice to Management

Balance the workload between departments or hire more people.

Exciting, interesting, and important work; smart people, but senior management needs improvement.

    Pros

Great, intelligent, and diverse co-workers make daily experiences interesting and challenging. Excellent flexibility with work hours and remote working situations. Very good salary and benefits.

    Cons

Very often, work hours border the insane. You could easily be working 60-80 hour workweeks for an extended basis while of course only being able to "log" 40 hours per week.
Some managers don't seem to grok the concept of Rewards and Recognition. They're quick to criticize, but hardly ever pause to say "thanks for working the entire weekend" or "good job resolving that issue."
Often, lack of resource planning/allocation causes significant shortages once the project goes operational.

    Advice to Management

Front-load projects with the right people so that they are done right from the beginning. Define an appropriate process and train new (and existing) developers to follow it early on in the project, so that when crunch time comes they are not scrambling.
Require management to take the Rewards and Recognition (R&R) training that is offered, and incentivize them to implement a coherent, visible R&R policy.
