I have been working at American Kiosk Management

Pros

Awesome place to work. Lots of career advancement opportunity, little direct supervision. Fun easy job. 100% of the time is spent in public working one on one with guests. AKM is run by a very christian group of administration and is seen in how they conduct business. They recognize your achievements and award you constantly through prizes, dinners, free stuff. They match 50% of your 401k plan after 2 years and after 5 years match 100%.

Cons

Boring when the mall is dead. Since there is little supervision from the DM or VP it can feel as though you are cut off from corporate. If you do not meet goals you are encouraged to do so but is difficult in this economy trying to get people to spend $50+. Hiring new people takes forever and there is so much paperwork that needs to be filed/faxed/printed every day. They do not keep track of which forms MUST be done daily and which ones are no longer going to be used. Updating the operations binder is excruciatingly long.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more time getting to know the people at the carts, you might learn that they are more than just a co-worker. The people who work the carts are some of the coolest people you'll ever meet and deserve to be treated with the upmost respect.

    The job paid pretty well and had decent benefits,but there seemed to be a lot of turnover in management.

    I worked at American Kiosk Management

    Pros

    They paid pretty well and did well with training and giving you all of the information you needed to perform daily operations.They did offer insurance benefits as well after you worked a certain amount of hours which came out to be about three or four months(Full time)

    Cons

    Wasn't comfortable with the inventory process , I don't think I was trained properly in that department but possibly the managements fault.Sitting at the cart was very boring at slow times and you were trained to follow certain dialogue which felt awkward and you would be secret shopped by upper management to see of you were using it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Spend a little more time commending your cart managers for all they do and less time beating them over the head with daily sales averages.

    Pros

    Benefits of working for AKM are the flexible schedules. Great support from all employees. It was my first job and would love to advance inside the company.

    Cons

    There are some down times when there are no customers. 401 (k) benefits are for those who are only 21 and over.

    Allow every employee to take advantage of 401 (k)
