Pros

The paycheck cashes and you can check out at 5pm.

Cons

Terrible management with little training for them to improve. Confusing reporting structure and divisive relationship between chapters and national. Internal comepetition destroys the morale and disassociates employees from mission work.

Advice to Management

Walk the talk. get the right people in the right jobs and stop putting underperformers and problem employees who lack experience in management positions. Break down the silos and get people communicating and sharing knowledge with one another. Stop being puppets of your local board members and BOG. Quit doing the same things over and over expecting different results. That is insanity.

Gail McGovern: quit cancelling your town halls with the chapters. 90% of the fortune 500 CEO's in America are better at visibility, ngagement, and accessibility and their businesses are much larger, more global, and more demanding. Your immediate staff sends the message internally that you are scary and should be feared.

    Pros

    Ability to provide confidence in lifesaving to community members
    Ability to equip employers with employee education and a safe work environment
    Constant certification renewal

    Cons

    Nationwide restructuting, rapid policy and program changes. Often times leaves little employee support and poor customer service.

    Advice to Management

    Hire more employees to do what they do best, and enjoy the most.

    Basic hours and office job

    Cons

    Due to lots of restructuring it is changing everyday and makes it difficult to know whats going on. Eliminating much of the customer service area which is what most of the general public associates with the company.

    Advice to Management

    Customer Service goes along way and don't take it out of your mission.
