Pros

excellent benefits and pay rate

Cons

basically keep your mouth shut and never ask questions,
little communication about job performance in the beginning
hours are really ridiculous
left my house at 3am and didn't get home till 7pm
training was long and boring, treat you like little kids

    Some excellent people, great mission, and positive change is on the horizon.

    Cons

    lessening job security, low wages can't retain good people, worsening and complex benefits, slow to respond to change

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    It is exciting to know that we will soon be out from under the consent decree. With the money the organization is and will be saving in fines, you should reinvest it into the compensation of your employees and being more aggressive and strategic in growing the business. Let's get employees and America excited about the Red Cross again!

    Support the mission of providing safe blood to patients

    workload is inequitable
    managers are poorly selected and have no managerial skills

    Be more pro-active and less re-active.
    start at the top and make managers accountable for their actions
