I worked at American Red Cross

    Pros

The mission of the organization is very admirable. Overall everyone wants to do a great job.

    Cons

As is true for most organizations, financial pressures are creating lots of challenges in meeting the mission. Staff are stretched, resources are aging and not being replaced, service is suffering, and support is starting to wane. I wish them the best of luck.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A solid vision that is focused on growth and opportunity is needed. For years the message is all about cost containment and expense reduction. A vision that paints a positive future is needed. Five years of cost messaging is demotivating.
