I have been working at American Specialty Health full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Paid holidays, medical benefits, some nice associates, casual dress code, discounts and health incentive programs

Cons

Lack of communication in a department and between other departments as well, information constantly changing, less than satisfactory training

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company has increased in size, but the focus on quality in some departments has deceased drastically. It truly is a "you get what you pay for" scenario. Hiring employees at lower wages can bring less than desirable results in many instances. There are loyal employees who go above and beyond and have to pick up the slack where others fall short. It would help to realize that certain things just cannot be taught. Employees can be trained in/on the basics, but it's up to an individual to possess certain skills to be successful within this organization.

    I worked at American Specialty Health full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Great Atmosphere including picnics and get togethers
    On-site gym for permanent employees to use
    Great location
    New Facility

    Cons

    Temps are treated as temps and given less benefits including use of the gym
    Only worked here as a temp for 3 months so not sure about other cons.

    Pros

    Co-workers are friendly and assist you when needed, a lot of cooperation among employees
    lots of good friendly attitude people that work for company, atmosphere is one of respect and friendliness
    Good benefits such as med, dental and lots of paid holidays.
    Company's growth history is impressive

    Cons

    A lot of turnover due to better opportunities elsewhrere, makes it difficult for people that stay
    more calls and more stress every time there's people leaving,
    Company's training programs not easy to understand sometimes,
    Management does not seem to be concerned.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Company posseses a quality brand reinforce this by rewarding your employees a little better.
