I worked at Ameriprise full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Decent pay and benefits
Access to a decent gym in the home office in Minneapolis

    Cons

Expect to get ridden and have work dumped on you the lower on the ladder you start. The culture had worsened and become more stressful (fewer perks and more responsibility for no appreciable increase in pay) over the years I worked there. Sad thing is this is likely just the trend in the economy of the set decade.

I worked at Ameriprise full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Strong company, good management. The Ameriprise name has been improving over the last few years.

    Cons

It's a tough place to grow your business as an advisor. They are in transition from the days of "lunch and learns" to the model of a more traditional wire house.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I enjoyed working with both of my managers at Ameriprise
