I have been working at Ameriprise full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Good benefits. Access to lots of training resources, HR is quick to deal with, and technology is very up to date. There are good measuring sticks and senior leaders are very helpful and great people.

Cons

Matrix management can be a little confusing and frustrating at times. As much as the senior leaders are great people, the number of them that you report to can be frustrating since not everyone's goals are always in line.

I worked at Ameriprise full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I worked for a small franchise, and the owners were amazing. The company genuinely seems to care about clients, and doesn't push products just to get commission.

    Cons

small team = more work, but it was rewarding. When it came to marketing, sometimes it was hard to be creative within the corporate guidelines.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide flexibility for franchise marketing! They know the community better than you do.
