“Great experience overall.”
Former Employee – worked at Amgen full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Still doing great things to change the quality of lives for people with terrible diseases. Some of the smartest people you will ever find.
Cons – Opportunities to advance in management are now limited. They tend to like to hire from the outside. Outsourcing has killed the culture that Amgen was founded and their success built.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to real workers and stop building a culture of 'yes' people who are afraid to take risks.
