    I worked at Amgen

    Pros

Great benefits (days off, medical package, bonus program, stock options, etc). Mostly high caliber people. Beautiful location and central campus.

    Cons

Too many talented people fighting for few advancement opportunities. Some people advance by bullying others. Very little biotech activity in Thousand Oaks outside of Amgen, so most people that leave have to relocate. Real Estate is not cheap, and prices have plummeted recently.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do a better job to promote people from within and rotate people within a function. Pay attention to bullying executives.
