I have been working at Amway full-time

Pros

Health benefits getting slowly chipped away.

Cons

No check or balances for upper management. No action, little work, effort or creativity. Lots of puffery and self-aggrandizing promotion by the management instead. Wasteful spending, especially in marketing. Lack of follow through on internal policies mostly dealing with abuse, bullying and fear-mongering by management. Little opportunity for promotion in this culture of utmost nepotism and favoritism based on same religious and political affiliations. Many disengaged or utterly frustrated employees. Employee satisfaction survey results are double digit below industry-average.Run while you can. You will be better off for it.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop bullying. Stop lying. Start leading and motivating teams.

I worked at Amway as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

I realize that with an organization this size, there are many impressions one could have depending what exposure you have to which departments. With my assignment, I was able to work with many different departments all over the globe, and I found all of them to be positive and encouraging.

    Cons

The onboarding with my department a little shaky, but I expect that it was more based on the circumstances.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The HR department is the first impression with candidates - their professionalism is key to recruiting quality people.
