ProsGreat pay and benefits
Amylin really cares about the patient-their customer. Quality is really their mission and they are willing to go as far as it takes to ensure the product is safe, effective and pure.
They take care of their employees. Respect and appreciation at the work place is the best I have seen and I have worked at 6 other major companies including fortune 500.
You are given as much responsibility as you are willing to take and can handle- good for growth and learning
No micro management- they let you do your job

ConsToo many meetings and less actual work
Company is sometimes taken advantage of by consultants because of some lazy Amylin employees who don't want to do their jobs. Yet their managers don't notice
Many employees are extremely lazy and cause the company a lot of avoidable expenses (i.e hire consultants instead of doing the work themselves)

Advice to Senior ManagementIf you want to save cost, start by doing it yourself. Don t hire a consulting firm to tell you how you can cut cost before you even put the efforts to find out where the waste is. Utilize your senior management to work with other middle management/employees to figure this out
There are many lazy employees that need to be either counseled and reformed or terminated if you want to become profitable. Some of these employees make excuses for why things cant get done- yet usually they are surfing the internet most of the time! Their managers dont know or dont care (Im guessing they dont know). These lazy (or disengaged ) employees have huge impact on the efficiency and profitability of the company. there are many of them in Ohio.
Policies and procedures have been extremely complicated to the point that many employees bypass them or find loop holes to avoid them. Simplify your procedures and reduce them.
