    Pros

Very stable and strong company. Many opportunites for employees for advancement and growth. Excellent benefits.

    Cons

Supervisors and Managers have lots of freedom. HR and higher management should have regular one-on-one with employees and listen to their greviences.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

From my experience - Supervisors and Managers should be strongly advised to avoid bias and favoritism in their department. Bias and favoritism creates unhealthy atmosphere. It affects individual's performance which in turn affects group/department's performance.

    I worked at Analog Devices

    Pros

    - supportive environment
    - decent benefits
    - technical folks can advance in technical roles, don't have to reach a dead end if they don't become managers of others.
    - mostly the company seems to "get it" that its people are its most valuable asset.
    - stable: no huge swings of growth and shrinkage of workforce.

    Cons

    - management uneven. Sometimes a brilliant engineer isn't a great leader or manager.
    - tight budget control can make it very difficult to hire the right person at the right time.
