    I worked at Ancestry.com

    Pros

    *Close-knit finance and accounting teams
    *Financially successful company
*Lot's of new projects to be started to improve finance team's functioning
*Pretty good financial recording and analysis systems in place

    Cons

*Salary may be lower than comparable companies in the area
*No fun little perks like daily free food or snack room for finance team

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As an intern, I felt like I was very involved in the financial processes and was given lot's of responsibility in the monthly cycle work. I never felt like I was looked down on or "baby'd" because I was an intern and so I would like to commend Ancestry on this point. I did feel like the belt was pretty tight though, meaning there were not very many perks or fun things provided to the finance team. This may just be a sign of a prosperous, mature company however.

    I worked at Ancestry.com

    Pros

Ancestry.com really tries to make good products for its customers and make the best environment possible for a call center.
Best benefits I have ever seen for a call center and lower paid jobs.
One of the best paid tech support positions I have seen.
Best management I have ever seen in a call center.

    Cons

    Difficult customers.
If you think about it, who are going to be the majority of people doing genealogy? Older people are the main customers for Ancestry.com. And most of them know little to nothing about computers. If you are thinking about working at Ancestry.com in tech support, remember that you will be talking to the average difficult customers you dreaded to speak to at your old job all of the time here.
