    Pros

It's fun. Everyone here is friendly and works together, even across teams. Benefits and good and there are some nice perks.

    Cons

The bottom line is always being considered. Sometimes, form beats function. Not many opportunities for growth within departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay attention to the feedback surveys and actually do something about them instead of forming committees to spend 6 months to figure out how to do it and then letting it slip between the cracks.

    I worked at Ancestry.com full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    good work like balance
good age range as there is no discrimination if you're older/married with kids.

the place has a nice new office right across from the ball stadium, but that can be really annoying. Food on mondays, but only mondays for some reason.

    Cons

stuck about 10 years in the past tech wise and policy wise
can't say anything about politic, religion since your owned by mormons in utah. who always get seniority over you no matter what if they went to the same church
no advancement strategies whatsoever. people leaving in droves because no incentives plan whatsoever for over a year, and no plan to hire or rehire people leaving.
got bought by people who don't care about employees

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
