I worked at Anchor Blue

Pros

Some talented managers in the stores.
Flexibility to run your own store, in most cases.
Decent pay & benefits.
Selling good quality clothing at good prices.

Cons

Very poor upper mgmt and district management.
Very political, good luck getting promoted past store manager if you are qualified.
Most people have zero confidence in the decisions made at corporate level.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Too many changes, way too often. Give new ideas a chance to develop. Perhaps promote someone who is actually qualified into corporate.

    I worked at Anchor Blue

    Pros

The people are nice that work there. You also get a pretty decent discount and the store doesn't get as busy compared to other stores.

    Cons

You are constantly standing and walking around the store which can be tiring at times. Also you have to do a lot of folding.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to switch up the work that each employee has to do otherwise it can get kind of boring working there.

I have been working at Anchor Blue

    Pros

Anchor Blue is a fun and rewarding place to work. The dress code is casual and you get to listen to hit music. They have a great recognition program in place and have fun and competitive contests to keep morale up.

    Cons

Anchor Blue is a small company that is going through changes, which sometimes results in delays or unclear communication between senior management and stores.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The leadership at Anchor Blue could work on personally thanking and personally delivering messages to stores. When going through tough times, it makes a big difference when you hear the senior management thanking you for your hard work, even if it is just a minute long voicemail.
