    I worked at Anchor Hocking

    Pros

Few other opportunities in the Lancaster area. They make products we all use and there is brand recognition.

    Cons

Incompetent managers, promotions for friends, ignoring or outright hiding glaring safety issues. Very impoverished area. Pay is average to below average. Raises are scarce. Don't try to use FMLA you'll be let go. Don't report OSHA violations you'll be let go. Don't question your manager you'll be let go. Many supervisors drink at work or appear high in meetings. Working at anchor is not a smart career move, invest your job search time and effort elsewhere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Run the company like a business not a fraternity. There are good hardworking people who could add tremendous value to the product and the processes, but you refuse to make sound decisions. Where is the legitimate business plan? Where is integrity in hiring, promotions and firings? Where is the clear vision and path for the future? Cutting corners with government regulations will only close your doors forever. Mark and his buddies are simply greedy and will reap what they sow.
