I have been working at Anheuser-Busch part-time

Pros

Gym room to work out + practice golf tee/basketball/foosball/skeeball, Subway restaurant + a LOT of vending options in the huge dining room with flat-screen t.v.'s for break time, lots of free beer for reaching safety goals + positive incident reports, pizza parties and bbq/catering occasionally, labor union community, professional management conduct; 10 guiding principles that entire warehouse abides by.

Cons

Can line machinery is very old/constantly faults/needs repairs; culture has become about saving every penny, stretching out every worker to work at times two lines at once; lack of accountability amongst many line workers; rarely any room for growth for non-management.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make more accountable & instill a greater sense of urgency to the employees that are lacking the extra care and harder working attitude that only a few of the employees (that have been around the longest/are more mature) truly exhibit. Some work for the pride and accomplishments, others treat the work as a paycheck, and there's a disconnect there.

    I have been working at Anheuser-Busch full-time

    Pros

    fairly competitive pay, free beer

    Cons

Culture of aggression, being told what to do, top down, management is terrible and only cares about profits and making goals. Nobody will ever ask you how you're doing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The beer industry would be doing better if you listened to employees and made them feel welcome. Your company needs fresh blood and there's a reason there are a huge retention issues.

    I worked at Anheuser-Busch full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Competitive salary, good benefits, good people at the local level.

    Cons

Corporate America at it's worst. All about the money and squeezing every last drop out of people and products. Work-life balance is non-existent. Instead of working 50 hours a week it was 55-60 hours. Was expected to be on call at all hours and on weekends, but not given a phone. Hourly employees were treated as assets, not people. It was not a company I was proud to be a part of.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some serious soul searching and realignment is needed if you are going to succeed after the older workforce retires.
