I have been working at Ann Taylor full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Generous discount, good pay, great clients and employees

    Cons

High turnover, high pressure to sell aggressively with little rewards, not enough payroll to complete required tasks, not imformative or realistic with job expectations during interviews. Some store managers have little or no training.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase payroll hours for higher volume stores, do not promote to store manager position based on selling skills but rather actual management attributes, skills, and experience. Take a closer look at what you are paying associates and what you expect of them.

I worked at Ann Taylor part-time for more than a year

    Pros

There is an abundance of product knowledge. Employee discount.

    Cons

Management pushes you to sell and encourages aggressive sales, especially with new credit card accounts. Sales should be commission based with the way they push you to sell. Corporate should listen to suggestions made by their sales people instead of just walking in to the store and acting as if they don't matter.
