    The people who work there are very nice

    Cons

    There is truly no stability in the company and the number of lay offs have been extensive. They do give false information when hiring sometimes and the company is in an overall state of flux.

    Perhaps, be more honest in your ability to provide a secure position.

    Anthem provides a great stepping stone into the insurance industry but beware of outsourcing and poor management.

    Pros

    Great overall benefit package

    Above-average compensation

    Opportunities for growth are excellent in some departments

    Education opportunities are excellent

    Excellent training staff

    Cons

    Build a Better Wellpoint is a joke. The whole process could be positive but often ends up being demoralizing.

    CEO is unapproachable and will not interact with lower level staff

    Insurance offerings continue to raise in price but lessen in coverage

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be more honest with your employees and decide if you want to grow in America or the Philippines. I am not one of the bitter ones because my job was outsourced. In fact, I survived the mass firing from the Denver office about a year and a half ago. However, the way that the outsourcing was handled was horrible! You have to remember that customer service is one of the front faces of your company and when you have 40 plus people upset with you because of how they have been treated, you have turned qualified professionals into weapons of your own customer dissatisfaction.
