Pros

Anthem gives great training in the claims and membership levels. Also this is a great way to stay in the loop about changes in the health laws as a result of new legislation.

Cons

Now that Anthem has taken over, the company is more bottom line than employee satisfaction oriented. Lay-offs were never a concern there, but now many people have lost jobs due to Anthems policy of offshoring operational type jobs offshore to cheaper and less effective workers.

Advice to Management

Anthem's management could benefit by protecting onshore jobs, offering clearly defined career paths to its associates and a less stressful workforced environment.

    Pros

    Different shifts, good Health, vacation, 401K benefits. Pays for your gym membership. Free Flu and N1H1 vaccines. Good on the job training. You can bid on other positions within the company.

    Cons

    Call center sweat shop mentality, Incredibly miro-managed. way to many chiefs. impossible to get legitimate time off. You are heavily penalized if stats don't meet monthly , 1 point off, company will not give you a raise . scripited dialogue with members and you had better stick to script. If you are creative and think outside the box, do not want to be tired down to a desk all day. Do not work at this call center.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees with dignity and respect and not like bottom feeders. Call centers should be abolished and remember that customer you are rushing off the phone is paying for your lavish lifestyle,
