Pros

Being part of a large, international company, potential opportunity for international travel and connections.

Cons

Feeling like just another number on a balance sheet. Bottom line is the bottom line, everything else matters very little. Being a part of a huge corporate machinery.

Advice to Management

Treat your employees like people not numbers. Treat your support staff the same way you treat your "money earners" - without the support staff the company does not function.

    Pros

    Well positioned in industry, good cross sell opportunities but must make sure efforts receive revenue credit. Firm is spending on effective training.. Need to form virtual partnerships with the right colleagues.

    Cons

    The only way to succeed in a broker driven culture is to attach your name to revenue. Some colleagues are not to be trusted (so what else is new)

    Advice to Management

    The firm needs to promote and reward innovation and to decentralize decision making in pursuit of new efforts. Needs to putits money where its mouth is.

    Opportunity to work virtually, opportunity to learn different skills, opportunity to work with various groups and departments.

    Cons

    Difficult to be recognized or promoted on the larger teams. Unfairness in management. Constant change of basic operational structure and plans
