I worked at Apartment Savvy Chicago (More than a year)

    Pros

    - There are a FEW good people there - You can possibly make connections within Coldwell Banker to get out of "RE Savvy"

    Cons

    - Low Pay - No benefits - No room for promotions, raises, etc. - Cramped office with no space to work (they have a small cubicle within the Coldwell Banker building) - Owner is completely awful, plays favorites and yells at workers in front of staff and clients - Hard work goes completely unnoticed if you're not a favorite of the owner - Huge turnaround on employees - everyone leaves just as quickly as they came - Rebranded their name (formerly Apartment Savvy) in hopes their bad reputation could be forgotten - The "training" that they supposedly provide is non-existent for leasing agents. People who have never been in the real estate business before jump into this & have no idea what they're doing. There are no real managers to help you become successful. You're basically on your own once they hire you (and they will hire anyone because they are so desperate for employees). - Owner makes the admin harass people who have e-mailed, called, or previously stepped foot into their office. They will call and e-mail a person at least once a day for weeks if they haven't responded to them.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect & give credit when credit is due. Provide PROPER training to your agents, not just 'advice' and 'tips'. Your untrained employees are the ones working hard so you can live in your high rise city apartment and never come into work.
