Great communication and salary. I have been really happy with my recruiter and her quick response.

Cons

No military leave or vacation time. You have to use PTO for either one...

    Cons

    Once you agree on a rate and get the position, they will try and lowball you with another rate. Don't bother giving these guys your resume.

    I worked at Apex Systems full-time

    Pros

    Good company culture, mostly full of young, energetic, recently graduated (1-4 years out of college) people. Recruiting is tough and isn't for everybody, but if you'll learn basic sales skills and how to survive in a high-pressure environment, experience that will benefit on down the road, no matter what profession you end up in. Basic negotiation skills are taught, as well as how to stay extremely organized, a critical skill in recruiting. Huge opportunity to make great money once you place enough people for your commissions to build up. Enough people are usually moving around within the company for upward mobility into account management if you want to move into sales.

    Cons

    The base salary is very low, and it will take at least 6 months to gain enough traction in your recruiting to accrue enough commissions to make a decent living. If you live with your parents or have roommates, you might be able to make it work. Unfair treatment around the office, favorites are definately in place by upper management. Micromanagement is alive and well at Apex because you must be extremely details-oriented, and employees aren't trusted at all, probably because 23-25 year olds are driving your business. Lot's of gossip and talk about people behind their backs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't make your employees CC a manager on every email. Turnover wouldn't be so high if you gave your recruiters a chance in the beginning with a better salary. Spend a few extra dollars on a formal training program, and you would get better results out of your recruiters quicker.
