Pros

Unlimited vacation time, in the mobile development space, snack shack

Cons

Lack of planning makes every project an emergency, work many many nights and weekends. E-staff preaches core values, but does not display them. They practice replace people over keep people

Advice to Management

Many of the major issues with the work environment come from the CEO himself. Other at the VP level are not strong managers and provide little to no leadership

    Pros

Dynamic and collaborative environment. Still small with room for growth for A players in most areas of the company.

    Cons

Market still playing catch up to the Appcelerator vision but, it's happening!

    Advice to Management

Stay ahead of the curve and keep marketing hard to the development community as well as the rest of the mobile dev world from the CIO down.

    Pros

It's a startup with interesting technology in a hot space (mobile + cloud). They have unlimited vacaction and free snacks. It's a good location in Mountain View.

    Cons

The Appcelerator Employee Handbook asks everyone to give two weeks notice when leaving. I found another job that was better and paid more. So when I gave notice I was given the "bums rush" and my last day was moved up to "tomorrow". Then the manager announced to the team that I was "leaving" and my last day would be tomorrow. This is not a practice you would see at most companies.

    Advice to Management

If management can't get along with everyone then fire them
