Pros

Good benefits
Peers are generally nice and good to work with
Good pay

Cons

Management seems to have their "favorites"
Your delivery manager is really a sales person trying to sell you on how satisfied you are working with a company that no one wants to work with.
A lot of project managers are full of themselves and really show attitudes which makes for a very stressful work environment.
Unless you work at the main office, you are pretty much forgotten about.
A lof of the peers have very little knowledge of the product and you are forced to handhold a lot.
There is a lot of work to do outside of the normal billable hours. They want you to bill at least 40 hours a week and put another 10 to 20 hours a week in other internal projects.
If you have a family, it means nothing to them.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize not everyone is a single 20 something year old, some of us have families and responsibilities that goes along with that.
A lot of employees aren't having "fun"
Don't rely so much on Metacube, you have very good programmers that are wanting to use their skills doing what they love which does not include just doing data loading.
Listen to ALL of your employees, make them ALL feel like they are doing a good job and that they are appreciated.

Great culture. Smart, friendly, successful people that assume you'll be the same.

    Pros

The company is growing like mad and has a great reputation in the space. All hype aside, they've executed Extremely well on their mission. Working from home is standard, even for people that live within 30 miles!

    Cons

Travel can be onerous for consultants. Monday-Thursday on the road can get old. They try to share/limit everyone's travel burden but a certain amount is unavoidable.l

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None. Any advice I have for them I've always felt able to say out loud (so far). Maybe there's a couple of forays into the product market I wouldn't have made in retrospect. Retrospect can be good for that! :)

    Pros

Rapidly growing start-up with a focus on computing in the cloud. This is the direction the industry is headed. Top management is top-notch and always a step ahead of what could be sizable growing pains.

    Cons

Appirio is still technically a startup with less than 200 total employees worldwide. While very nimble, there are always dangers in working for a startup.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue the excellent approach to managing a services organization. Continuously review practices such as training and interview processes to find room for enhancement.
