I have been working at Apple

Pros

Apple brand name. Very exiting projects. Bright colleagues. Fun/relaxed work atmosphere. You can see direct result of your work enjoyed by millions across the world. That's really a shot of changing the world !

Cons

Work life balance. Very flat structure with few employee positions (atleast in my group). So less chance for promotions.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

High end products is not going to cut in this economy. Go mass market !

    I worked at Apple

    Pros

Great technology. Innovative products that work without complaints from customers.
Clean, safe environment to work in. Talented people work there, but not in the management ranks.
Good discounts on company products for employees.

    Cons

Too much pressure to sell add-ons, even if the customers don't need them.
Store management is hired from the shoes & socks retail stores and don't really understand technology and the sales cycle. Management runs the store like a high school. Management under-estimates the talent of the employees. The store manager is king in this environment and if you don't make her happy, your job is over. Sad, very sad.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit and let Apple hire more competent individuals. Go back to selling women's clothes. Let sales people take the time to develop the trust with customers. They'll then refer other customers to you.
