I have been working at Apple as a contractor for more than a year

Pros

Freedom, nice management, great product. Rewarding some how

Cons

Contractors are second class citizens, secret promotions, secrets, secrets secrets. I felt like I was onyl there because the computers would not be able to do it on their own.

Felt not valuable

I worked at Apple part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Newest technology, great training, good perks, set your own hours as a campus rep.

    Cons

Can be a lot of red tape on campuses. Not much opportunity outside of retail after you complete contract.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My managers were awesome in the program.

I have been working at Apple as a contractor for more than a year

    Pros

The environment is unlike anywhere else.. you have inspiration everywhere and you really feel like you're doing some of the most important work of your life. You feel like everything you do has a direct impact and you're a stakeholder. The VPs and CEO are not removed either. It's common to see them eating lunch on campus amongst everyone else. Even though they are in Cupertino, there are very flexible transportation options from shuttles to several train stops, to large luxury coaches that go all the way north to San Francisco and south to Santa Cruz.

    Cons

The commute may get old, but it's hard to complain when they provide you with so much transportation options.
