Pros

Fabulous products that you can be proud of
Some great colleagues (not all)
If you're an engineer, great products to build
If you're a designer, great products to design

Cons

Least empowering place I've ever worked - all decisions go upwards, great if you're Steve Jobs, but not so great for anyone else.
Mediocre/poor performers are rarely fired.
Incredibly siloed.
Executives are so indoctrinated in the Apple way of doing things that they're not open to new approaches.

Advice to Senior Management

Push decisions down whenever possible. Get rid of people who aren't at least really good, and make sure you only hire outstanding people.

The cons sound like every big company I've ever worked for. I don't think that changes anywhere. There's always a strict hierarchy, a lot of dead weight in management, people who aren't fired for poor performance (because it's really hard to do it without getting sued), lack of thought leadership, and stovepiped departments.
