Pros

Compassionate, caring, quick and effective. Grateful to them for both their professionalism and courtesy.

Cons

Nothing. Was with them only a only a short time but the time I was with them was great.

    I have been working at AppleOne

    Pros

    I met with a recruiter a job fair. She was impressed with my resume and said that she can help me find work. Went to her office to talk some more. She acted genuine

    Cons

    Took the placement tests and scored average. My recruiter told me that my scores were too low and that I would not be sent on assignment. What do their clients want anyway? No such thing as a perfect employee

    I worked at AppleOne full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    *cooperation within and between offices in Northern CA
    *transparent leadership - monthly P&L meetings
    *great learning experience about building and operating a business "from the ground up"
    *exposure to several different sectors and companies
    *personal freedom to forge your own path; you can specialize in one sector (finance, HR, Accounting, Construction, etc) or be the jack/jane of all trades
    *flexability to work with small, medium, and large businesses
    *bonuses are available for every fill you get and every new req you secure
    *there are a variety of people at the company; a wide range of ages and educational backgrounds. I've seen HS diplomas and MBA's be equally successful at AppleOne and I think that is very unique
    *career progression and advancement are never impeded, the staff wants you to do well
    *exposure to different companies and career paths through working with candidates
    (you can join a conversation about any career/sector and contribute)
    *benefits are deducted pre tax
    *national sales trainers are not hired externally. This means they have succeeded in your role and can give you spot on guidance in building your business
    *the founder/president is very old but he makes an effort to visit the offices and share his insights
    *founders club is extravagent and very prestigious

    Cons

    *long waiting period for benefits (selection at 90 days; if you began mid month you select benefits on the 1st day of your 4th months). After selection benefits take one pay period to take effect
    *IT is slow to resolve technical matters....this impedes productivity
    *base salaries are just that, a base. It is not sustainable to live off your salary, so be prepared to rack up the jobs filled becuase you need the bonuses
    *offices seem to have a general distaste for corporate staff. Senior AE's & Management across offices portray the corporate staff as though they throw money away. In all of my interactions with corporate I never had a negative experience
    *OC salaries depend on branch profitability. Make the salary for OC's standard - they do not work in a sales capacity so their wages should not depend on branch profitability

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Nick & Theresa in the Santa Clara branch are effective leaders. They have a sense of humor and a drive to achieve their goals. They're both a great resource to staff

    Corporate - work on your relationship with the staff in the branches

    Nor Cal offices:
    keep pushing for temp to perm and perm orders. this will draw in the strongest candidates (when I worked on the staffing end I hesitated to reach out to high profile passive candidates without actual orders to submit them to).
