The company has many good people working for it, but important decisions seem to be made for political reasons.

I have been working at ArcelorMittal USA

    Pros

Good people, good growth opportunities, tons of options for learning and development, both online and in a classroom setting, excellent health benefits.

    Cons

Very poor communication, patchwork computer systems, very poor relationship with the union, poor negotiating skills, aging facilities, promotions seems random, little to no planning for anything to go wrong when things always go wrong.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find and promote the people who consistently try to do what's best for the company, not just work to make themselves look good.
