Arch Chemicals Project Engineer in Conley, GA:   (Past Employee - 2008)

Pros

Arch Chemicals is a large company and it is easy to stay under the radar. Depending on your supervisor, you may have the ability to work from home or take personal time when needed. The Engineering Managers are genuinely concerned about the happiness and well-being of their employees, even though upper management is not.

Cons

Because Arch Chemicals is a large company, it is also subject to an extraordinary amount of bureaucracy. You will spend most of your time in safety meetings, monthly meeting, completing paperwork, and performing computer-based training. There is little to no organization with respect to project management, and so a large portion of time is spent attending to customer issues.

Advice to Senior Management

Senior Management needs to focus on their core strengths. They are currently playing catch-up with competitors because they failed to understand market demands. They are now suffering as a result of their inferior chemicals.
