I worked at Argos part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Meet new people. Learn to deal with customers. Learn a business model built around a catalogue. If you work in the stock room them you get a lot of exercise.

    Cons

The hours you get are inconsistent and laughable to say the least. Most days you can be expected to do multiple roles at the same time as stores are grossly understaffed. That would be just about possible if not for the ridiculous amount of red tape to wade through and compliance to adhere to which if followed would literally make the job impossible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop treating employees in such a way that they all quit so you can replace them. See reason between what is possible and what is needed against what head office says. Listen to your staff and be approachable.
