Pros

The company is flexible with time off for dr. Appts and sick kids. The dress code is business casual.

Cons

The management team does not speak to or engage with mid level employes. They have an attitide of arrogance.

Humble yourself and get feedback from your employees.

    I have been working at Argus

    Pros

    Good people with good intentions. Company tries to find jobs elsewhere in the company instead of layoffs if possible. Good ergonomic workstations to help prevent repetetive stress. Management is trying to reengineer the company systems to make life better for the customers and the employees.

    Cons

    High workload. Time deadlines that can be at times unrealistic given number of requests and/or complexity of requests. Legacy code is convoluted at times which causes problems.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire more people so that the analysis and work can be done at a pace that can meet the deadline yet be done correctly the first time.

    I have been working at Argus full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Argus is a PBA, not a PBM, so their experience is limited to certain areas of claims processing. This allows them to do what they do very well. They have a small niche in the market, but have loyal customers that are teaming as partners to bring health care to Medicare beneficiaries in a way that is cost effective and will increase the health of the beneficiaries. With most of their clients, the client is focused on the health of the beneficiary.

    Cons

    The pro is also a con. It is limiting. They could have the potintial to expand to more commercial markets and include services like enrollment and elgibility.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Continue to become more open to what is availible in the market place.
