Ariba – “The "high school" of the corporate world.”

Pros

A good job right out of college but not for anyone with any kind of experience. Although, it does not take a college graduate to be able to do the work - a high school student, at most, could do what most people there do.

Cons

It was like going through high school all over again. There was a huge lack of opportunity for advancement for those that weren't willing to "play" the corporate politics game.

Advice to Senior Management

Look at your internal talent (at all levels) before allowing external hiring. An do not focus on only their Ariba experience, but also what they have done in the past.
