I have been working at Arizona State University full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The people you work with for the most part are awesome, the students are usually great!

    Cons

The bureaucracy and politics and the inability to use your brain to think and do your job effectively

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start hiring people who know how to manage. Just because the person has a Master's or Ph.D doesn't mean they can manage or they understand how business is run.
