Pros

Training Program in Chapel Hill was awesome. Learn if sales is the place for you Decent first internship Management is very enthusiastic Paid internship Work as much or little as you want

Cons

Internship was supposed to end on August 11th we will be working well into the end of august because of our sales deadline Training felt like freshman orientation Pay is very minimal for amount of work you are supposed to put in You are basically there to do the dirty work for the company by making cold calls all day everyday

Advice to Management

Compensate the employees more. We are making under minimum wage. Tell us that there will be deals to be offered before they occur, or better yet let us know about all of the deals that will be offered in training.

This internship is grueling (as are most sales job) and I found very little personal satisfaction.

    Pros

Free paid training in North Carolina Team spirit/pride Easy application process Self-management (you control how your day goes) Potential to make greater compensation Networking opportunities at training

    Cons

Cold-call sales is a difficult job- you face a lot of rejection Bad compensation for the average intern- $200 a week for the hours you are working is less than minimum wage! Company does not reimburse gas/travel Expected to work outside of the 8:30-5:30 work hours Lack of motivation as the internship progresses Product does not work

    Advice to Management

Pay your interns more Put less emphasis on training (the top seller in my region only went to training for two days) Make the product better! Print is so hard to sell and your website does not receive nearly enough traffic to warrant how much you are charging businesses to get online

    Pros

Good practice talking to employers Commissions mean you work for what you get Management was caring and helpful Decent sales training

    Cons

Hard to believe in the product Not very much fun Difficult to find satisfaction in work Don't get paid nearly enough

    Advice to Management

Think beyond print advertising more Provide more incentive to work hard Keep the excitement and fun of the training Realize that other reps pick up slack of those who quit
