I have been working at Art Institute of Houston full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Help amazing, talented, passionate individuals achieve their goals. Work with a team of world class instructors and be around creative arts and rewarding outcomes from watching students and experienced mentor instructors collaborate to entertain the world.

Cons

Meeting so many that cannot get the resources to come to this college for whatever reason at the time in their life that it just isn't a fit be it logistics, financial or responsibilities of life they must put more attention to.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

No real advice to give, seems to be some place I am grateful to work.

I have been working at Art Institute of Houston

    Pros

Great pay - opportunities for overtime are also endless if you want them
    Good benefits
Simple work - expectations are clear and easy to understand
    Relatively flexible scheduling
    Approachable leadership and colleagues
Everyone genuinely does want you to do well
Lots of praise given (sometimes too much)

    Cons

    Working holidays
~8 hours a day on the phone (if you hate the phone, don't work here)
Constantly dealing with at-risk student populations, it gets frustrating after a while
    Heavy heavy micro-management by leadership
The earliest you can work is 9am, and the earliest you'll leave is 6
Late evenings required a couple times a week
~2 working Saturdays a month (4-5 hour shifts)
Encouraging students to take on massive loan debt in order to attend school (almost no one you meet with can afford the education)
